Intern - Engineering

Duties: Project duties will be determined by the Program Manager. Possible tasks may include:

• Updating database information
• Creating metric charts to track current project results
• Supporting continuous improvement efforts
• Documenting processes of operations
• Developing training material to support documented processes
• Working with individuals to provide engineering/technical support to improving methods for manufacturing
• Creating CAD models to support manufacturing efforts
• Starting and updating drawings to better reflect current models

Job Qualification Requirements:

Educational Experience- Pursuing a BS degree in a technically related field, and must be completing sophomore or junior academic year currently. Experience- Must have experience with Microsoft Suite, CAD software (preferably Inventor), general coursework regarding engineering. Physical Demands- The employee is required to:

• stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor,
• exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
• exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.

Certification Required- None Visual Acuity- Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading. Hearing ability- Ability to communicate with employees. Working conditions- Normally works in an office environment. Occasionally, the employee is subject to:

• shop floor environment,
• high noise levels from operating machines,
• physical hazards from moving equipment and production components,
• breathing fumes, dust and mist,
• skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids,
• welding flashes.

The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws. Attendance is an essential job function.
