Deskop Support Technician

Contractor Position: Virtual Desktop Upgrades

We are seeking a short-term contractor to work onsite at headquarters to assist with upgrading approximately 35 virtual computers to Windows 11. The project is expected to take 2-4 weeks, with scheduling coordinated directly with users. Some upgrades may require additional steps, such as adding disk space, enabling secure boot, or repairing the OS boot partition. The ideal candidate will have experience in desktop support, specifically in virtual desktop environments, and be familiar with VMware vCenter. This role will be onsite during regular business hours to facilitate quick communication and coordination. A key responsibility will be identifying VM users and scheduling upgrade times. Most upgrades can be completed during the workday without requiring after-hours work. The target completion date is before the end of the year. Skills: Windows 11, VMware, Desktop Support.

Additional Skills & Qualifications: Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
