Your opportunity Stantec is seeking experienced Civil Engineering Technologist or Technician focusing on Mission Critical Data Center projects within our Community Development Group. Within this team, you will have the opportunity to work on Data Center projects of various sizes across the country. The Mission Critical space requires a very proactive, responsive, and efficient design team with projects serving Fortune 10 companies who are making headlines with transformational projects. For the right candidate, there is the potential for this to be a remote work position. The engineers on this team are a core design group dedicated to serving Data Center clients and similar major commercial programs. The projects they work on require a variety and diverse set of skills to assist our clients with site due diligence, design, entitlement approvals, permitting, and construction. Within this team you will be exposed to different design requirements across multiple geographic regions as well as different Mission Critical and commercial projects of various sizes and operational needs. This position involves working collaboratively within the Mission Critical core design team, project partners, and various different services in the development of private civil site designs; construction plans and specifications; preparing reports, studies, and construction contract documents; computing quantities and preparing opinions of cost; performing field observations and assisting in the coordination and management of construction activities.
Minimum of 3+ years of drafting experience on civil engineering and/or related projects. Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field is preferred, but not required if the candidate can demonstrate sufficient experience and skillset.
Position will primarily be in an office setting. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for the majority of the day. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
