This position will provide technical leadership within the IDM Engineering team to lead aspects of scope development, design, delivery, and optimization of Device Platform for the IDM and Device network, new product commercialization, capacity expansion, and ongoing operations. The role is responsible to identify and ensure requirements for new products and processes are established with a focus on automated process assembly. This role also provides leadership for manufacturing platform consistency and continuous improvement and serves as the responsible engineer defined in local quality practices.
This role is positioned as a senior technical resource supporting commercialization and manufacturing. The following list represents areas of responsibility across product lifecycle:
Bachelors of Science in Engineering
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or related industry working with high speed, discrete mechanical/process assembly & packaging equipment
Experience with design of automated assembly machines and asset delivery
Demonstrated ability to influence effectively across boundaries and work in a cross-discipline team (OEMs, contract manufacturers, Lilly sites, device network, etc.)
Working knowledge of GMPs and proficiency with risk management and process/equipment commissioning & qualification practices
Device assembly experience preferred
Control Strategy proficiency
Experience with IDM OEM Equipment Manufacturing Base
Previous Mentoring experience
Advanced troubleshooting
Presentation experience
Travel ~25%

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $114,000 - $181,500. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees.
