The Commercial Insurance Account Executive serves as the strategic liaison with the Sales Executive and client to provide a high level of consultative and expert advice to key clients. The position requires a significant degree of independent judgment and decision making. Minimally, the CI Account Executive will be responsible for revenue of at least $550,000.
Independently manage a book of business of key clients and serve as a subject matter expert/advisor for all aspects of managing the accounts of assigned clients.
Possess superior product knowledge and know specific products offered by the agency's carriers. Keep up to date on insurance policy forms, coverage, rates, and underwriting appetite for insurance companies through bulletins and online communications.
Expertly explain policy coverages and recommend additions/changes to client's insurance programs. Promptly respond to policy coverage related questions.
Investigate and resolve issues of significance for client
Handle elevated complaints from clients
Prepare and deliver stewardship reports to include risk mitigation efforts such as claims analysis and loss trends; experience mod analysis and trends; and other information to help with predictive modeling.
Oversee the renewal process and coordinate setting strategy with the client, Sales Executive, and Marketing. Ensure timely renewal of all policies.
Direct client service requests to the Account Manager, to include the issuance of proofs of insurance and processing of change requests, in accordance with agency guidelines, workflows and standards.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell in partnership with the Sales Executive by determining which products best meet clients' needs
Maintain client files within the agency management system for file documentation according to established workflow and procedures.
Participate in interviewing and hiring decisions
Participate in seminars and other training and continuing education sessions to maintain required licenses and designations, skill and leadership development, and those aimed at avoiding potential errors and omissions situations.
Be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities of the position with minimal supervision.
Be a team player and display resourcefulness to find win-win solutions for our clients, insurance companies, and agency. Set a high standard for client service.
Effectively communicate with clients, Sales Executives, underwriters, and other team members in a concise and articulate manner. Be a good listener.

P&C license required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with experience working in an agency management system preferred.
Demonstrate expertise in coverages, underwriting, rating and risk management.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of commercial insurance policy coverage to effectively manage, service, and retain clients. A proficient knowledge of insurance markets is essential.
Possess the ability to identify insurance coverage gaps and make recommendations for additional policies when appropriate.
High School Diploma; College Degree Preferred in addition to 10+ year's insurance agency experience.
