Our Technical Accounting Advisory Group (TAAG) is a national specialty practice within Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) and works with many of the world's largest organizations and fastest-growing companies on some of the most complex accounting issues in the market — experience we leverage to provide tailored advice to clients of all sizes. By leveraging our deep technical knowledge and extensive experience, we help simplify complex accounting and reporting problems and provide practical recommendations so that our clients' finance teams can focus on supporting their businesses. Successful candidates will assist PPMDs in researching and resolving US GAAP, IFRS and SEC technical questions and drafting related documentation. There are opportunities to improve executive presence, writing, project management and technical skills. TAAG professionals will acquire significant subject matter topical knowledge by collaborating with a diverse group of peers and seasoned partners who assist our clients with the most complex accounting issues. TAAG allows for exposure to different subject matter areas across multiple industries. The nature of this role means no two project assignments will be the same. That means you will need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues. You'll also collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines, so we'll look to you to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas.

Skills and Attributes for Success

To qualify for the role, you must:

• Have or be working towards, a bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting.
• Meet the minimal educational requirements for CPA licensure in your work state prior to beginning full-time employment and have a demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards.
• A strong academic record, including, without limitation, course work that EY deems relevant to this position.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as rideshare and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

Ideally, you will have:

• A strong desire to broaden your technical skills.
• Strong verbal communication, presentation and writing skills.
• Ability and comfort in researching accounting inquiries and analyzing emerging issues relating to accounting standards and industry practices.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated leadership through extra-curricular activities and/or student-led university organizations.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $68,000 to $94,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
