Design and execute tests, develop, evaluate and validate commercial vehicle and off-highway vehicle Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems including aluminum heat exchangers, to ensure durability, safety, and optimized performance of HVAC climate control systems. Develop, build and upgrade test environment chambers and facilities. Record collected data, using LabVIEW, MATLAB and BUSMASTER tools, generate CSV, TXT, XLSM structured data files, and maintain test logs with timestamps, operator notes, and annotated photographic and video records of test setups in centralized database, to create and assure comprehensive and auditable records of test parameters, observations, and measurements. Use knowledge of applied physics with mechanical and electrical engineering principles and mechanical and electrical devices, to test and develop HVAC components, systems, and controls. Bachelor, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Engineering Physics or related. Three months experience as Student Engineer, Research Assistant or related, using knowledge of mechanical and electrical devices, to test components, systems, and controls; and record collected data, maintain test logs, and annotated records of test setups in centralized database, to create auditable records of test parameters and measurements, or related. Salary range: $62,000 to $85,000 P/A.
