The Systems Engineer will be responsible for working with integrator clients, in coordination with our sales team, to prepare mechanical system designs, bill of materials, pricing and delivery information for Integrator sales opportunities. The Systems Engineer will work with other Duravant engineering teams to apply best equipment offering to our Integrator customers. Coordination of quotes and projects will be part of the daily responsibilities. The Systems Engineer will need to be knowledgeable of the diverse product offering of Duravant Material Handling companies and communicate this offering to our sales and integrator customers. In addition to system design, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for estimating, schedule development, and assist in proposal creation.

Additionally, there are infrequent requirements to assist Project Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers and/or Field Service Technicians in offsite work involving significantly different skills and environmental conditions from day-to-day requirements (use of measuring devices like calipers, tape measures, etc.). The environment is often extreme temperatures, wet and humid, noise levels above 85dB, climbing ladders and working from elevated platforms, access is often restrictive and requires agility to perform work, machinery which may start and stop without warning and floors and ladders are often wet and/or slick.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion, the colleague may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The incumbent must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The position is an office-based position with periodic visits to customer installation sites. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
