The Supervisor Of Environmental Services is responsible for 24 hour/7 days a week site direction of environmental services assigned staff, performing cleaning/project work at the hospital as well as the affiliated healthcare centers offsite. He or she will monitor the environmental services program to ensure that buildings are maintained in a safe, clean, and operationally effective condition. The Supervisor will facilitate departmental policies and procedures that guide and support the provisions of service and maintain departmental compliance with all regulatory/accreditation requirements. He or she will measure and monitor cleanliness of facilities and maintain relationships with other departmental operational leaders and staff to evaluate performance with customer expectations while maintaining our clean and quiet directives. Will ensure compliance with HFAP, Infection Control, and OSHA standards.
Qualifications: Professional/Educational: Bachelors Degree preferred. AHE CHESP or IEHA certification preferred. Three to five years of environmental services experience in a healthcare environment preferred. A minimum of two years experience in a lead or supervisory role in a healthcare environment preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy. Computer proficiency required. Knowledge or training for the professional or technical group supervised. Valid IL Driver's License Required. Personal: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization skills.
