Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Customer Service Representative to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Chicago, Illinois, this position involves providing exceptional support to members and ensuring their inquiries are resolved efficiently. As part of a non-profit organization, you will play a vital role in delivering service excellence while utilizing your expertise in call center operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound calls with professionalism and empathy, addressing member inquiries effectively.
  • Accurately document call details and input data into the system using web-based tools.
  • Provide members with clear information regarding policies, procedures, and next steps.
  • Offer guidance on best practices and required documentation to support member needs.
  • Utilize software such as SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite to manage and organize member data.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and resolution of member issues.
  • Maintain high standards of attendance, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Complete all onboarding requirements as part of the hiring process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Requirements:

  • Spanish Bilingual Skillset REQUIRED - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a call center or corporate customer service setting.
  • Proficiency in using SharePoint, web-based member databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with members in a detail-oriented and empathetic manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of union contracts and related processes is a plus.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality service.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
