The Hilton Chicago Cluster is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll manage group business of 151–3,999 peak rooms along with meeting space and food & beverage opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to drive sales for three iconic hotels in the heart of downtown Chicago, representing our award-winning brand and securing unforgettable group experiences. The position is based onsite at the Palmer House Sales Office in Chicago, IL. The annual salary range for this role is $85,000 and is based on applicable specialized experience, market segment, and location.
Requirements:
+ Minimum of two years of hotel group sales experience within large, big box hotel of 500 rooms and 40,000 sq. feet of convention space
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Understanding of hotel sells and demonstrates a hunger to grow, but also a collaborator
- Comfortable speaking directly to decision makers & strong critical thinking skills
- Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
+ Familiarization with Delphi.fdc/Salesforce
+ Experience within Hilton processes and programs
+ Five years' experience as a hotel sales manager
What Will I Be Doing?
A Senior Sales Manager is responsible for securing groups and conventions by building and establishing relationships with customers. + Research, solicit and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue streams, to meet and exceed lead generation goals.
+ Represent the hotel in the development of market segment(s) and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relations with assigned accounts. Consistently strives to maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams.
Position Statement:
This role requires strong sales, communication, and networking skills. The ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and then apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate and secure new revenue for the hotel.

Prospecting - Demonstrate a mastery of the prospecting process. Identify potential customers. Prepare and implement your call strategy.
