Sales/Business Development Executive

We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Sales/Business Development Executive with a hunter mentality to join a growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and securing new business opportunities for in-house brokerage while expanding relationships with existing customers. You'll engage in daily conversations with clients about freight lanes, requirements, and pricing, while presenting the company's full range of logistics solutions. Success in this position means consistently landing new accounts, growing wallet share, and delivering strong sales results across both LTL (less truckload) and TL (truckload) business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customers for TL and LTL business.
  • Prospect and build a strong sales pipeline through lead generation.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts to maximize opportunities.
  • Identify and secure RFPs related to company service offerings.
  • Prepare and present compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Independently drive new revenue generation with a focus on recurring business.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals and provide reporting as required.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, building strong, long-term relationships.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related industry.
  • Strong hunter mentality with proven ability to win new business.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic logistics environment.
  • Effective follow-up and closing skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary $60,000 to $95,000 plus commission. Hybrid work schedule (Bolingbrook, IL). Growth opportunity within a high-performing corporate environment.
