Essential Functions

  • Serve as Assistant Director of Youth and Families in Care
  • Serve as full line supervisor of subordinate supervisory staff
  • Serve as a senior member of the Director’s Executive Staff, providing advice and consultation on Department policies, programs, and operations involving Permanency, Clinical Practice, Child Services, and Licensing, as well as other assigned divisions and programs
  • Interpret Department policies and procedures and state statutes to subordinate supervisory staff, community officials, and private citizens
  • Review situations involving casework services, the media, or other unique circumstances
  • Represent the Director and the Department before public officials, governmental and private agencies, child welfare councils, and civic organizations, possessing significant authority to bind the Department to a specific policy course of action
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
