Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Consultant

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with strategy. Report directly to the CEO/CMO. Company Size: Start-up. 6-month contract with opportunity to extend or convert to full-time. 40 hours a week, paid weekly - W2 (No 1099 or C2C). Hybrid: 3 days in Chicago, IL OR Austin, TX OR New York City, NY.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience using Mailchimp
• 6+ years of Email Marketing/Email Operations experience
• Experience working in a start-up environment or company of size smaller than 500 employees

Key Responsibilities:

• Email Execution & Cross-Platform Orchestration (55%)
• Architect unified email experiences across multiple SaaS platforms
• Create seamless user journeys preventing email conflicts across all touchpoints
• Develop sophisticated suppression and frequency coordination strategies
• Ensure brand consistency across platforms you don't fully control
• Design abandoned cart, browse abandonment, and post-purchase sequences
• Conversion Execution & Growth Strategy (40%)
• Own account signup optimization and list growth strategy
• Design progressive profiling frameworks for enhanced targeting without friction
• Optimize signup flows, landing pages, and onboarding sequences
• Execute growth experiments and A/B tests across acquisition funnel
• Implement and optimize conversion tools
• Technical Infrastructure & Operations Execution (10%)
• Evaluate current MailChimp setup and potential platform migrations
• Manage APIs, webhooks, and data flows across platforms
• Collaborate with content, product, and engineering teams
• Strategic Marketing Growth (5%)
• Influence broader marketing strategy based on email insights
• Take on additional marketing initiatives as you demonstrate value

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
