Senior Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Engineering Manager to lead our AI/ML engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and deployment of cutting-edge machine learning systems and AI-powered products that power our independent drivers, shippers, sales, and operations teams to transport freight across the world. You will lead teams of talented engineers and collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, impactful solutions.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of AI/ML Engineers.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for AI/ML initiatives in alignment with business goals.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and AI systems.
• Ensure engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into products and services.
• Drive innovation by staying current with the latest research and trends in AI/ML.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and excellence.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 4 years in a leadership role and 4 years of hands-on experience in the AI/ML field.
• Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning models at scale.
• Strong knowledge of ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
• Solid understanding of data engineering, model lifecycle management, and MLOps.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, or reinforcement learning.
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or published research.
• Familiarity with data privacy, model fairness, and ethical AI practices.
