This role supports the design, development, and operation of the Marketing Technology Ecosystem; collaborating with engineering, IT, Digital, Data and Marketing teams to align on architecture and integration strategies that activate personalized experiences across their ecosystem. The Senior Cloud Full Stack Engineer designs, builds, operates, and iterates on cloud native solutions that enable us to deliver end-to-end personalized experiences for our guests. The Senior Cloud Full Stack Engineer is an expert at solving technical challenges and building solutions using the best available tools available in an AWS cloud first environment. These two roles will be the core of a new team, so communication skills are important. Problem solving skills are necessary for this, as that is the current gap on this team. We need coders who ALSO problem solve and can think outside of the box. Examples of problem solving: they want to integrate the system with active directory so that they don't manage users. Another example: Importing data from another system, making it run reliably and repeatably and doing deployments early (being proactive). They will be given a high level problem and they need to be skilled enough to ask good questions and solve the problems at hand.

Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

• Design, Develop and Operate Full Stack Cloud Solutions and Services in an AWS Cloud Environment using a serverless and managed service first approach.
• Write Clean, Maintainable and Efficient code following best practices and standards.
• Develop and Manage databases and other data storage systems in support of the services being built.
• Define the application infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code approach using terraform.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the development life cycle and focus on delivery of quality solutions.
• Mentor peer engineering team members on technical decision making, code reviews and enforcing engineering practices and standards.
• Lead technical discussions to share knowledge and build consensus amongst engineers to build the best solutions possible.
• Maintain application DevOps processes and deployment pipelines to implement and support application and feature releases.
• Assist in system migration to the cloud supporting refactoring legacy system to modernize the application or integration services to leverage cloud native services and solutions.

Skills and Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience architecting and developing full stack solutions and utilizing software build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Git, GitLab, CI/CD).
• 5+ years of application and backend API development experience (object-oriented, Java, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript).
• 5+ years of web application development experience (HTML, CSS, React, Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of cloud serverless solutions (AWS…S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge).
• Experience working with cloud database services (RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS/Fargate).
• Experience with cloud build and deployment tools (Serverless, AWS SAM, GitLab).
• Experience working with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and cloud deployment languages (Serverless, CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform).
• Base understanding of cloud services and infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, IAM, CW).
• Knowledge of event-driven and service-oriented architectures.
• Agile development and deployment experience (JIRA, CI/CD).
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• AWS Certification (AWS Solution Architect Associate, AWS Developer, AWS DevOps).
• Other cloud certifications are nice to have (GCP, Azure).
• Building and deploying cloud applications AWS Bedrock (using AI to solve problems).
• Personalization and Recommendation engines.
• Knowing AI and how it works to know how the content will be used end to end.
