ATMI Precast is seeking a QC Steel Engineer to oversee quality control operations related to steel hardware and welding processes. In this role, you will supervise a small team, ensure compliance with AWS welding codes, and maintain accurate documentation of inspections. You’ll balance hands-on inspections with leadership responsibilities, supporting both the technical accuracy and the continuous improvement of our quality systems.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily QC operations for internal and external steel hardware
- Conduct inspections and audits of welders and welding machines
- Maintain and organize QC steel documentation and records
- Assist with field weld inspections as needed
- Train, mentor, and lead a team of 2-3 QC employees
- Ensure compliance with welding standards and safety protocols
- Work toward achieving full CWI certification
