Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and design the workflow process with the steelmaking department.
• Develop and assist on installation and follow up on new and improved process improvements within the entire steelmaking process.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization.
• Diagnose failures, determine solutions and make suggestions for improvement.
• Create reports with cost and time estimates for each project.
• Ensure process stability and consistency by developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and quality to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment:

Work in a very heavy manufacturing environment/office. The role requires mobility across the entire plant and multiple mills. This is an opportunity to join a team focused on improving cost centers and revitalizing an American Steel Mill for future production.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Peoria, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
