Patient Service Representative Supervisor

The Patient Service Representative Supervisor coordinates staffing and activities of Patient Service Support staff for branch facilities with multiple departments.

Qualifications:

• Education: H.S. Diploma/GED
• Work Experience: Patient service representative

Responsibilities:

• Perform essential job functions of Patient Service Representative I, II and III.
• Identify daily staffing needs in accordance with budget and target guidelines.
• Proactively review future schedules to anticipate the need for staffing adjustments.
• Manage and monitor schedules for changes.
• Identify all recurring issues and present resolution to appropriate party/department.
• Assist with maintaining budget parameters while meeting department needs.
• Provide input to management regarding budget needs.
• Recommend and initiate various personnel actions including hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions.
• Make work assignments and review and edit work of direct reports.
• Ensure staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.
• Resolve customer concerns, questions, and complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action.
• Establish standards for reducing registration errors.
• Review with staff on a regular basis registration errors and initiate necessary training to reduce errors.
• Perform yearly staff evaluations and work to help improve performance, productivity, and professionalism.
• Assist staff in dealing with customer service issues and provide timely responses to concerns received from the Patient Relations Department.
• Assist department leadership in resolving staff work related issues, or assist employees in solving work related issues.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $25.5 per hour - $42.59 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
