The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving cost reduction activities through process improvements to directly impact the company’s performance objectives and compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements. This role significantly affects the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost and reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include utilizing key mechanical design and manufacturing principles, such as Statics, Dynamics, Mechanical Design, Thermodynamics, Materials, and Heat Transfer to make decisions impacting product quality, delivery, and cost. The role also involves reducing scrap and non-conformances by eliminating waste and variation, driving root cause corrective actions, optimizing productivity, staying current with new technologies, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and developing and implementing manufacturing cost reduction projects. Essential skills include a strong understanding of key manufacturing principles, a BS in Engineering or related technical field, and 3+ years of engineering experience working in a manufacturing plant environment.
Pay and benefits range from $40.00 to $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
