The Role
- Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program
- Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026
- Location: This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US.
- Work Authorization: US Work Authorization required for this role. Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate's commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.
The Main Responsibilities
- In cooperation with IP Planning, Architecture & Engineering, IP Operations, and development teams; build innovative automations leveraging Python, Ansible, SQL, and similar programmatic skills.
- Proactively update peers and management about progress on scripts, automations, and similar development work.
- Comfortably navigate Jira, manage workload, and complete sprints.
- Apply interest/aptitude towards internal infrastructure improvements.
- Flexibility with project scope adjustments, process improvements, technological growth and general function evolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Power BI.
- Foundational routing & switching comprehension of various vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia), various dynamic routing protocols (IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, OSPF), and various switching protocols (LLDP, CDP, Spanning-Tree, MAC).
- Document development work, processes, and technical requirements.
- Participate and lead conference calls with various layers of stakeholders involved.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
- Graduating August 2026 – May 2028
- Preferred fields include but not limited to: Business, Computer Science, Information Technology
Proficiency and understanding of:
- MS Office Suite
- Visual Studio Code
- Power BI
- JIRA
- Oracle DB
- Experience with Power Apps development
Compensation
Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role. Hourly Based Pay Range: Min: $31/hour Max: $46/hour
