Must comply with the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act: No State employee who works for the Illinois Gaming Board, or spouse or immediate family member living with such person shall, during State employment, hold an ownership interest, other than a passive interest in a publicly traded company, in any gaming license under the Illinois Gambling Act, the Video Gaming Act, the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975, or the Sports Wagering Act. Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: No person shall be employed to serve the Board who is, or whose spouse, parent or child is, an official of, or has a financial interest in or financial relation with, any operator engaged in gambling operations within this State, or any organization engaged in conducting horse racing within this State. Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: For the one year immediately preceding employment, an employee shall not have been employed or received compensation or fees for services from a person or entity, or its parent or affiliate, that has engaged in business with the Board, a licensee, or a licensee under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position. As a result, the employee should be aware that if offered non-State employment during state employment or within one year immediately after ending State employment, the employee shall, prior to accepting any such non-State employment offer, notify the Office of the Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor (OEIG) or may be subject to a fine. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate. Requires appropriate, valid drivers license. Pass Illinois Gaming Boards background investigation (background check).
