Engineering Technician I

Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking an Engineering Technician I to join their team. As an Engineering Technician I, you will be part of the Reliability Test Lab supporting product development and testing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Conducting electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing and evaluation of electromechanical medical devices.
  • Setting up, performing, and monitoring testing activities as directed by the Reliability Test Manager and Test Engineers.
  • Documenting test results accurately and communicating findings to engineering personnel.
  • Participating in teardown and destructive testing as part of the product development process.
  • Collaborating with project engineers on product failure analysis and suggesting design improvements based on test results.

What's Needed?

  • At least 6 years of testing, lab, or related experience.
  • Understanding of electromechanical systems and ability to identify mechanical and electrical abnormalities.
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation and data acquisition.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
