The Director, IT Portfolio Management & Agile Services collaborates with the business portfolio team to align the IT portfolio and demand, while coaching and mentoring leaders and teams to instill enterprise-wide adoption of Agile methodologies and practices. The Director requires an in-depth understanding of how organizational capabilities interrelate across the function or segment, with emphasis on Growth & Digital priorities and Lean Portfolio Management to align strategy and execution.
The Director, IT Portfolio Management & Agile Services organizes and prioritizes projects and programs based on IT strategy, strategic roadmap, and available and prioritized budgets, and ensures that the appropriate financial and organizational support is allocated in support of those goals. The Director coaches, educates, and mentors leaders and teams to enable scaled, sustainable adoption of Agile practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), promoting a culture of collaboration, transparency, predictability, and velocity. The role establishes and maintains Lean Portfolio Management and Agile practices, standards, and guidelines to support transparent decision-making, investment funding, portfolio operations, and governance for the Growth & Digital portfolio. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and the role implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, improves performance, and provides input into the function's strategy.
10+ years of experience in IT portfolio management, program management, or related leadership roles
5 or more years of management experience
Demonstrated success leading Lean Portfolio Management and Agile transformations at scale, including coaching executives, leaders, and teams
Strong financial acumen with proven experience leading prioritization processes, executive alignment, forecasting, and value realization
Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements and trend reports
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
MBA or other Advanced Degree
Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes
Relevant SAFe certifications such as SAFe Program Consultant, SAFe Lean Portfolio Management, and SAFe Agilist

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range: $156,600 - $215,400 per year
