Coordinating with Engineering Firms, General Contractors, and Subcontractors to receive up-to-date project documentation. Communicating with the Sales staff to understand project scopes, submittal deadlines, and project installation milestones. Authoring and submitting Requests For Information (RFIs) for project scope clarity. Selecting parts and materials to be installed, such as Controllers, Valves, Actuators, Relays, Current and Temperature Sensors. Using MS Visio and MS Office software to engineer submittal documentation. Revising submitted drawings as directed by the project's Consulting Engineers or Owners. Ordering project material in a timely manner to ensure smooth installation workflow and meet construction deadlines. Communicating with our Installation team to gather feedback and field changes, and keep drawing sets up to date as on-site installation progresses. Finalizing as-built drawing sets after project completion.
A strong understanding of Mechanical, HVAC, and Electrical systems. A minimum of 3 years of experience designing BAS Control systems. A strong understanding of BacNet networks, both MS/TP, and IP. Experience with BAS integration of vendor equipment like VFDs and RTUs. Proficiency in reading and interpreting Plans and Specifications. A strong understanding of building construction methods and standards. A willingness to continuously learn and grow your Engineering expertise.
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr. We provide top pay and a 401k with an employee match of up to 4%, in addition to full PPO insurance, dental, and vision for workers and their family at no expense to employees. Education reimbursement programs are available. We also evaluate employees for annual raises, bonuses, and provide profit sharing once vested.
This is a fully onsite position in Chicago, IL.
