Seeking an experienced Siemens Controls Engineer to support a high-priority automation project with an immediate start. This is a 9+ month engagement with the potential to expand. There is an optional opportunity for travel to Buffalo, New York or Texas, as desired. The position offers some flexible schedule options. Responsibilities include designing, programming, and testing Siemens-based control systems using TIA Portal. Integrate and validate Profisafe and Profinet networks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and safety. Participate in field commissioning with potential travel of 1–2 months later in the project. Document code, configurations, and system changes for traceability.
Essential Skills include proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal for programming Siemens PLCs and HMIs. Experience with Profisafe and Profinet for safety and industrial communication protocols. Strong programming background with the ability to write and debug complex control logic, ideally with structured text or ladder logic in Siemens environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications include familiarity with WinCC Runtime for HMI development. Knowledge of Siemens ProDiag for diagnostics. Understanding of PLCSIM as a simulation tool. Willingness to travel for field commissioning (1–2 months).
