Clinical Business Systems Support
This role provides essential support to key clinical systems and technological solutions, facilitating the execution of clinical trials. It ensures the successful integration of clinical contract system capabilities to support effective system solutions. The role involves frequent interaction with cross-functional management to provide system health summaries, including defect management, user adoption, enhancement/release planning, and related compliance activities, driving cross-functional alignment with R&D business functions and Business Technology Solutions (BTS).
Responsibilities
- Act as the business subject matter expert for contract systems, such as Conga, involved in the creation of system status reports and tracking of items like enhancements, change requests, dashboards, and integrations in partnership with Business Technology Solutions (BTS).
- Maintain knowledge of current systems, including Conga and BIT, and align them to existing business processes.
- Support the business in identifying innovative solutions, such as AI use-cases and RPA solutioning, ensuring proper ongoing use of the system and leveraging metrics and IR/BSOS information to ensure system use behavior is as intended.
- Provide input into all business project deliverables, including strategic decision-making, stakeholder management, schedule development, budget preparation, and communication.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and value creation by using objective data-based evidence, anticipating emerging technology needs, and adjusting strategies and action plans accordingly.
- Review system change requests to evaluate the necessity of changes or the need for re-education of business processes.
- Support the business in developing user requirements and testing for any new system enhancements.
- Review and approve SLC deliverables, conduct business risk assessments for the system and its data, manage records retention and disposition of data, apply legal hold orders, resolve compliance or system data integrity issues, and manage change requests.
Essential Skills
- Experience with clinical trials, clinical contracts, business systems, and clinical development.
- Proficiency in using Conga and familiarity with FDA regulations and pharmaceutical industry standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or business field is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in clinical research, analytics-related experience, or computer software experience in database development and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate analytical and technical concepts in layman's terms.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Conga experience is highly desirable.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
