Card & ATM Operations Specialist I
The Card & ATM Operations Specialist I ensures smooth financial transactions by balancing General Ledger accounts, processing card disputes, and managing ATM cash orders. They also handle Debit Card applications and troubleshoot Card@Once PIN Pads and card printing machines for branches. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and analytical, with strong problem-solving and communication abilities. They effectively resolve transaction disputes and support branch staff. This role is vital to maintaining financial integrity and efficiency, contributing to the company’s reputation for reliable and secure services. The specialist’s efforts ensure accurate account management and timely dispute resolution, supporting overall organizational success. All employees are expected to protect the information and assets of the organization through heightened awareness of information security, cybersecurity, and risk management best practices, as well as complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Essential Duties:
- Balance and/or process the forms and reports related to ATMs and Cards.
- Process card unpostables, monitor exceptions and process any necessary Card/ATM disputes.
- Perform file maintenance requests and changes to cardholder status.
- Provide quality customer support for card services.
- Process and perform check back of various forms ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards and procedures.
- Perform data entry and work with various software programs.
- Compile, process and monitor various reports.
- Maintain Card/ATM documentation following record retention guidelines.
- Review ATM transaction journals.
- Develop knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and assist in ensuring compliance with such.
- Develop knowledge of applicable Bank policies, procedures and services.
- Assume responsibility for special projects and tasks as assigned.
Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers at all levels.
- A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention detail.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to apply sound judgement in decision-making.
- Ability to accurately and quickly complete standard mathematical calculations, applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to analyze and interpret common and specialized financial reports.
- Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of this position.
- Current drivers license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage; additionally, the ability to drive occasionally in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
- The ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
Additional Qualifications:
- Direct experience in banking or a related field preferred.
