The scheduled work hours for this position are: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday from 11 PM to 7 AM (Central Time).
Supervises the work involved in the care and maintenance of the Illini Union, as related to custodial operations.
Physical Demands include: Exerting muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry, or lift objects up to 50 lbs. Bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, and standing for long periods of time. Performing general physical activities that require considerable use of hands, arms, legs, and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, walking, stooping, handling, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating items.
High school graduation or equivalent. Three (3) years (36 months) of experience in building custodial work.
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of custodial duties, chemicals and equipment used in maintaining the various types of surfaces. Knowledge of equipment related to use in public functions and special events. Ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of others. Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to use computers, computer systems and basic computer applications.
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 1600 - Building Service Foreman position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 9/29/2025. The budgeted salary for this position is $54,449.00 per year. This position will be expected to work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus on a full-time basis per the University\'s Workplace Flexibility policy. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now and in the future.
