Adjunct Faculty - Business, Computer & Engineering Technology

Salary: $717.63 Annually

Location: Quad Cities Campus - Moline, IL

Job Type: Adjunct / Part-Time Faculty

Work Hours: Monday-Friday; Days or evenings

General Information & Responsibilities:

To provide appropriate classroom, lab, clinical, or other instruction as assigned for the Business, Computer, and Engineering Technology department. Faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience; develops, and executes appropriate methods of evaluating students performance; develops, secures, and maintains the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.

Education & Experience:

Technical/Applied Math - Master's degree in mathematics, EE, EET, MT, or a related technical discipline; or Baccalaureate degree in mathematics, EE, EET, MT, or a related technical discipline with a minimum of two years related industrial experience; or Associate's degree in mathematics, EE, EET, MT, or a related technical discipline with a minimum of four years related industrial experience in applied math; or no degree with a minimum of eight years of related industrial experience, a considerable portion of which includes applied math through calculus. The applied mathematics should relate to shop fabrication, geometry of layout, blueprint, algebraic solution techniques, trigonometry, and calculus of simple systems in mechanical and/or electrical technologies. Must possess demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.
