Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer will focus on wireless network validation testing for autonomous and remote-control applications. This dynamic role involves working with a range of technologies including Wi-Fi, private LTE, and private 5G cellular networks.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct wireless network validation testing for autonomous and remote-control applications.
• Work with various technologies such as Wi-Fi, private LTE, and private 5G cellular networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot outdoor wireless systems with a deeper understanding than cellular drive testing.
• Understand and apply knowledge of the Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum.
• Possess mechanical capability for installing outdoor access points on solar trailers and working with tools.
• Engage with autonomous or remote-control systems as part of the network engineering tasks.
• Travel up to 25% as needed to support project requirements.

Essential Skills:

• 3-5 years of route/switch core network experience.
• Experience with Cisco Wireless systems.
• Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum.
• Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of outdoor wireless systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Mechanical capability for hardware installations.
• Linux experience.
• Experience with autonomous or remote-control systems.

Work Environment:

The position is 100% on-site in Mossville, IL. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and equipment, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment. The role may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Chillicothe, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
