Your Daily Menu:

  • Establish the long-term technical vision, leading the transition from the current operation to a scalable and autonomous platform.
  • Actively promote the development of team leaders and engineers, reducing the reliance on junior profiles and forming the next generation of technical leaders.
  • Lead with agility and clarity the leadership decisions of people — including performance evaluation and team structure — with a sense of urgency and responsibility.
  • Act as a qualified technical counterpoint to the product team, balancing engineering depth with business insight to ensure decisions of greater impact.
  • Lead the intentional adoption of AI in the day-to-day development, increasing the productivity and delivery capacity of teams in a sustainable way.
  • Ensure the operational excellence of the Billing and Reconciliation teams, which have direct financial responsibility for transfers and accounting for iFood partners.

Ingredients We Look For:

  • Solid experience in high-volume systems and transactional demand, with the ability to delve into technical problems of architecture, performance, and reliability.
  • Experience with platform products that involve user authentication and authorization, as well as anti-fraud systems using AI models (preferred).
  • Previous experience managing other engineering managers, knowing when to delegate depth and when to delve in directly.
  • Ability to transition between deep technical and product vision, contributing to backlog decisions, prioritization, and strategy with the PM team.
  • Applied knowledge in AI to scale productivity, with the ability to develop the team in the intentional adoption of tools and practices based on AI.
  • Familiarity with billing and financial reconciliation domains is a plus, but not a prerequisite — there are business team experts to support these areas.

To Enhance the Flavor:

  • Experience with companies with large-scale platforms, marketplaces, or digital identity and payment ecosystems.
  • Delivery in scenarios of restructuring or transformation of teams and platforms.
  • Experience with the use of machine learning models or AI.
