Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will be responsible for performing stress tests by preparing patients and operating equipment to provide data required to diagnose and treat patients with known or suspected cardiac disease. • You will be obtain electrocardiograms used to diagnose abnormalities of the heart by attaching electrodes.
• You will be responsible for following standard procedures and functions as part of the Echocardiology team.
• You will perform stress test by preparing patients and operating the electrocardiographic/treadmill equipment.
• You may, with proper training and knowledge of other functions within the cardiology services, perform other duties related to clinical diagnostic testing and/or operational tasks that manifest high quality patient care.
• You will work in a team environment and be expected to perform most job duties independently according to hospital policy and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• May receive EKG training on the job, but experience preferred.
• EKG Rhythm interpretation preferred.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region.
