Sales Representative

Our client based in Cape Town is a Value-Added Distributor specializing in networking and related products and services, including LAN switching and routing, Wi-Fi solutions, cybersecurity solutions, CCTV and surveillance, and SD-WAN. They are seeking a Sales Representative to sell products and services to registered resellers while building relationships with new partners. This role involves telephone sales, client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations. To succeed, you must have a strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics, excellent interpersonal skills, and proven experience in a sales role.

Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals as set by the company.
  • Generating new reseller relationships.
  • Discovering new sales opportunities.
  • Liaising with existing resellers to increase sales.
  • Providing clients with quotations and proposals.
  • Keeping our Salesforce CRM up to date with your activity and opportunity.
  • Coordinating sales efforts in accordance with Company marketing programs.
  • All aspects of sales account management including sales, logistics and payment from clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience in networking hardware solution sales ideally in IT or aligned markets in Cape Town.
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with clients.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel, and 365.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
