Field Engineer Intern

Iconica is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to join our team in Summer 2026! As a Field Engineer Intern, you'll work alongside Field Superintendents and Carpenters, gaining practical, hands-on experience in construction management and field operations. During your internship, you'll:

1. Coordinate with subcontractors and project managers to keep tasks on schedule.
2. Assist with constructing, installing, and remodeling structures using wood, laminates, and steel with both hand and power tools.
3. Learn the sequence of activities required to assemble a building.
4. Review subcontractor scopes of work, evaluate shop drawings, and manage punch list and warranty items.
5. Support quality control by helping develop punch lists and verifying completed work.
6. Contribute to project schedules and safety initiatives to meet client expectations.
7. Build and strengthen relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

• Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management program.
• Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).
• Leadership roles in extracurricular activities or student organizations.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High initiative and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
