In this role, you will lead the Technical Service, consisting of approximately 22 full-time employees. Together with the team, which includes (electro)mechanics, work preparation, project managers, and an asset and maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for the safe, optimal, and reliable functioning of all installations, machines, and networks within the factory. This is achieved through the use of effective asset management and leadership. It covers the full electrical, electrotechnical, and measurement and control domain, including PLC systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for the annual investment budget (CAPEX) of several million euros.
Your challenge involves working with a committed and driven team to ensure the high availability and reliability of installations that produce approximately 400,000 tons of high-quality fertilizers annually. You will promote a culture of safe, clean, and secure working and provide direction for the transition to a more preventive and planned working method. There will also be a transition to a new maintenance information system that is yet to be set up, and efforts will be made to outsource more work packages to various suppliers.

We expect you to have a higher professional or academic education, supplemented with relevant work experience. Experience in (bulk) chemistry or in a port environment is preferred. You obviously have knowledge of the appropriate methodologies and the latest standards for maintenance. Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance or other CMMS systems is preferred. People describe you as decisive. You are an experienced leader who knows how to inspire and motivate your team to change. Even when there is resistance, you know how to turn it into good agreements and speak to people as needed. You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages.
