ICEYE is seeking a Composite Manufacturing and Test Engineer to join our aircraft development team in Valencia, Spain, as part of the High Altitude Pseudo-Satellite (HAPS) program.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering aerospace project, pushing the limits of ultra-lightweight, high-altitude, long-endurance flight. You will play a key role in developing and validating advanced composite structures critical to the performance and reliability of ICEYE's stratospheric aircraft.

As a Composite Manufacturing and Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of composite material tests, as well as the definition and optimization of laminate configurations used in the HAPS structure.

You will contribute directly to the realization of innovative aerospace structures made of carbon fiber prepreg materials, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and durability. Your work will involve hands-on testing, data analysis, and close collaboration with design, structural analysis, and systems teams.

This role sits at the intersection of materials science, structural engineering, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute material and structural tests for composite components.
• Define laminate configurations and evaluate material properties for optimal performance.
• Analyze and document test results, feeding back into the design and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate closely with design, analysis, and manufacturing teams to ensure structural integrity and manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain testing procedures, tools, and documentation for validation and certification.
• Participate in the validation and qualification of new composite materials and manufacturing processes.
• Support the development of new composite structures for a next-generation HAPS platform.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the composite manufacturing domain.
