Senior Manager, Security Operations

This role manages the day-to-day operation of the 24-hour Building Security department, as well as Event Security across the three ICC Sydney buildings. This role will be leading and directing a highly professional and customer-focused team that ensures the safety and security of ICC Sydney team members, guests, visitors and the venue.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee security operations, including 24-hour security and event security at ICC Sydney.
  • Manage, train and develop a professional, customer-focussed security team.
  • Manage security labour contracts and ensure suppliers meet contractual obligations.
  • Maintain and monitor security procedures, ensuring compliance with ICC Sydney's policies.
  • Oversee the management and operation of the building Fire Safety Systems.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, legislation, and the ICC Sydney Liquor and Security Licences.
  • Provide expertise and advice for input and contribution to the Crisis Management Plan.
  • Identify areas of risk and work with the appropriate partners to manage risk within the ICC Sydney Core facilities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Valid Security License Class 1ABCE, 2D (mandatory)
  • Valid WorkCover-approved Senior First Aid Certificate (refreshed every three years, mandatory)
  • Valid CPR Certificate/Accreditation (refreshed annually, mandatory)
  • NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency card (mandatory)
  • Certificate III in Investigative Services (desirable)
  • Relevant working experience in a senior management role within a Security division with exposure to high volume corporate operations.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in all facets of Security industry, security and liquor licencing legislation/laws, physical security systems and event management operations.
  • Experience in risk management, compliance, policy development, business continuity management, and threat & vulnerability management.
  • Experience in managing large people teams including training, development and performance management.
  • Experience in managing large security labour hire contracts including selection and performance management.
