The Role

Develops, analyzes, researches, and designs welding techniques, procedures, and applications. Uses engineering principles to manipulate materials for fabrication and assembly processes. Prepares technical documentation in order to implement waterfront welding processes including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions. Creates new or modifies current welding methods, techniques, and procedures in order to substantiate welding theories.

Must Have

2 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field; 0 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree

Nice to Have

Bachelors in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.

Two years of experience in using welding engineering based Navy standards and codes. Knowledge of the variety of welding systems and welding materials common to Ingalls and other shipbuilders. Experience in field troubleshooting, corrosion, and failure analysis
