Business Development Manager- T&D Project Services

The Business Development Manager – T&D Project Services will spearhead efforts to expand business opportunities for Substations built for Data Centers, leveraging Hubbell products. This role involves strategic project management, enhancing customer relationships, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms as well as Hyperscalers. This position will be responsible for leading customer engagement across multiple product lines and will interact directly with Customer Service, Manufacturing, and multiple Hubbell Business Units.

Position is 100% remote, can sit anywhere in the US - must be in close proximity to an airport.

Lead and develop strategies to expand business opportunities for Substations built for Data Centers, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives

Assist Project Services Director in project planning/forecasting and the development of a strategic growth strategy

Develop and execute a short-term and long-term plan for overall market share growth with a pipeline of targeted opportunities loaded into CRM

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, including EPC firms and Hyperscalers. Understand their needs and expectations to better align the services and products offered

Manage end user accounts through consistent exposure for Hubbell and an understanding of the key drivers to their business and spending

Lead customer engagement across multiple product lines, ensuring that all Hubbell products are adequately represented and leveraged in projects

Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams such as Customer Service, Manufacturing, and various Hubbell Business Units. Facilitate communication and project details effectively across these groups.

Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new trends, opportunities, and potential threats in the industry. Use this information to adapt strategies and enhance the company's competitive edge.

Support the commercial organization by providing expert knowledge and presentations related to substations that can assist in crafting compelling sales propositions.

Regularly report on project progress, business development activities, and market analysis outcomes to senior management

Continuously seek to improve business practices and processes by embracing innovation, suggesting improvements, and implementing best practices in project management and customer engagement.

Drive strategic alignment on opportunities across the Hubbell Platform

Analyze bid documentation to identify applicable Hubbell product offerings that meet required specifications

Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and/or information on market trends

BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering

Minimum 5 years' experience

Proficiency in prioritizing tasks

Projects confidence, authority, and enthusiasm

Utilizes technology to boost sales performance

Strength in effectively communicating to multiple job functions

Background in the Electrical Utility Industry

Must possess strong written and oral communication skills

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

Ability to travel up to 70% on business-related trips

Experience in Substation Design

Experience with EPCs and Hyperscalers

PowerBI experience

Salesforce experience

Manufacturing knowledge
