Senior Engineer - 3D Audio and Mesh Processing (M/F/D)

Huawei Heisenberg Research Center (Munich) is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

Audiovisual Technology Lab in Huawei Munich Research Center is developing innovative technologies in the field of acquisition, encoding and decoding, processing and presentation for the media field, including audio, video, image and graphics. You will contribute to these activities being inserted into an international and experienced team of researchers.

Your mission

• Develop and improve 3D mesh post-processing pipelines for head and ear data.
• Design and implement automatic and semi-automatic landmark annotation methods.
• Enhance and optimize HRTF generation and processing workflows.
• Gain insights into data-driven approaches for 3D audio and geometry processing, and contribute to their integration into existing pipelines.

Your areas of expertise

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or similar.
• Solid background in machine learning / AI, including model development and data processing.
• Good understanding of 3D data processing, geometry, or signal processing is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex tasks.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
