Job Description

Based out of our Matamata branch and reporting to the Service Manager, this role focuses on the assembly and preparation of new equipment prior to delivery to customers. You'll be responsible for ensuring machines are built exactly as specified, fully tested, and handed over in top condition. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assembling and preparing new equipment to manufacturer and customer specifications
  • Installing hydraulic attachments, including pressure setting and testing
  • Completing electrical checks and ensuring all systems are operating correctly
  • Managing multiple equipment builds while meeting tight delivery timeframes
  • Maintaining clear communication with the Leading Hand and Service Manager on build progress and priorities
  • Ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation at all times

Qualifications

You're a detail-focused Service Technician who takes pride in delivering equipment that's ready to perform from day one. You're organised, technically capable, and comfortable working to deadlines in a busy workshop environment. You will ideally bring:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Electrical and hydraulic experience, including pressure setting and fault checking
  • The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise multiple builds
  • Clear, confident communication skills
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong safety focus
  • Experience assembling or preparing new equipment (preferred but not essential)
