Wireless Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Firmware Wireless Engineer to design, develop, and optimize embedded wireless connectivity features across Wi‑Fi‑enabled devices. The engineer will be responsible for low‑level firmware development, wireless driver integration, debugging complex RF issues, and ensuring robust, reliable performance in real‑world network conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize embedded firmware for Wi‑Fi chipsets and connectivity subsystems.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain 802.11 (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) drivers, supplicant logic, and platform interfaces.
• Work closely with silicon vendors (e.g., Realtek, Qualcomm, Broadcom) to integrate and customize wireless stacks.

• Contributes to the complete product development cycle in order to meet defined deliverables. Keeps up with changes in software development tools and techniques used in the product development lifecycle. Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines. Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements. Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding firmware design status, project progress, and issue resolution. Actively participates in the design process, presenting new designs and the data to back them up, as well as soliciting feedback from internal and external partners. Develops and maintains firmware architecture, ensuring scalability, modularity, and maintainability. Participates as a member of project team of other firmware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.

• Strong experience in embedded C/C++, RTOS concepts
• Deep understanding of Wi‑Fi protocols (MAC/PHY), radio operations, scanning, association/authentication, DHCP, multicast, security (WPA/WPA2/WPA3).
• Hands‑on experience with 802.11 driver development, wireless chipset SDKs, or Linux wireless subsystems.
• Proficiency in debugging tools: logic analyzers, packet sniffers (Wireshark), UART/JTAG, RF test equipment.
• Familiarity with network diagnostics (SNR, RSSI, RX/TX stats, BSSID hopping, channel interference)

AI driven SDLC is a must

Education & Experience Recommended: Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in firmware development, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
