College Intern - Semiconductor Wafer Fab Engineering

What a College Intern - Semiconductor Wafer Fab Engineering does at HP:

  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with the wafer fab team to develop & optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Data Extraction: Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) machine-generated data into an external data system or database.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize strong analytical skills to analyze manufacturing data and contribute to process improvement initiatives (SPC).
  • Machine Communication: Knowledge of computer communication protocols is a plus; contribute to real time communication between machine and PC.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of experiments, observations, and results.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science. Students graduating in 2026/2027 will be prioritized.
  • Able to commit for a 5-6 months full time internship, starting in January 2026.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with PC communication protocols is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
