Customer Service And Sales Advisor

Based in our Swords office, Howden Ireland are delighted to have a vacancy as a Customer Service and Sales Advisor on a permanent basis for our Principal Personal lines book of business that will be an integral part of our wider Personal Lines team.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful individual will primarily focus on managing policy renewals, ensuring client retention by providing tailored insurance solutions. Additionally, they will identify and secure new business opportunities when available to expand the client base. This role requires strong relationship management, negotiation, and sales skills to optimise client portfolios and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term loyalty.
  • Oversee the renewal process for personal lines insurance policies, including reviewing terms, negotiating renewals, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Provide exceptional service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Ensure New Business/Renewal targets are achieved.
  • Implement Company's Compliance and office procedures including New Business Development and Renewal Procedures document.
  • Ensure that you are up-to-date with market practice and product availability, giving feedback to Management in relation to market issues, including pricing, service levels and product development.
  • Where required, work with other teams within the Group to facilitate training, product development and to promote operational efficiencies.
  • Attend client visits with Management as required.
  • Adhere to Compliance as outlined in Handbook and Procedures Manual.

About You:

  • Extremely well organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Innovative and collaborative.
  • Flexible and results driven.
  • Willingness to progress within the team
  • Aptitude for learning involves specifically working towards an insurance qualification over a specified period of time, with APA Personal achieved within 12 months.
  • 1-2 years previous experience in an administration role desirable.
  • Previous experience working in the Insurance Industry preferable but not essential.
