Account Manager – eID

Hopae is looking for an Account Manager – eID to drive our efforts in gaining and maintaining access to government and enterprise electronic identity (eID) systems worldwide, while also owning key enterprise customer relationships in Japan. You'll be the go-to expert bridging regulatory access, compliance, and customer success — ensuring smooth integrations, trusted partnerships, and market growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • eID Program Management
    • Coordinate and deliver Hopae's initiatives to gain and maintain access to eID systems across regions such as EU, APAC, LATAM, US, and Africa.
    • Oversee project timelines, cost structure, documentation, and cross-team collaboration to keep eID integrations compliant, operational, and scalable.
    • Act as the regional eID expert for internal teams, regulators, and partners.
  • Enterprise Account Management (Japan focus)
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise customers in Japan.
    • Deliver product demos, manage inbound inquiries, and build trusted customer relationships.
    • Ensure smooth communication between Japanese clients and internal teams, providing localized support.
    • Own the full sales cycle, maintain accurate CRM pipeline data, and identify market trends/opportunities.
    • Contribute market-entry strategies and cultural insights to strengthen our go-to-market approach.

Qualifications include:

  • Native-level Japanese and fluent English (required). Other languages such as Arabic, Spanish, German, or Portuguese are a strong plus.
  • 2–5 years in B2B SaaS, identity, compliance, or privacy-first tech. Experience in enterprise account management or sales with Japanese clients is highly valued.
  • Comfortable working across time zones in async-first environments.
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced, high-trust settings and take ownership without waiting for direction.
  • Culturally fluent in Japanese business practices and customer expectations.
  • Strong communicator, able to simplify complex compliance/regulatory topics for diverse stakeholders.
  • Background in digital identity, security, or blockchain-related technologies.
