Senior Embedded Software Engineer

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing and developing embedded software solutions that drive innovation in our software for controlling of technological processes and mechatronic systems. You will work on complex systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets customer needs.

You will report directly to our Sr R&D Manager and you'll work out of our office Prague or Brno, Czech Republic location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of advanced embedded systems that enhance performance and reliability across various applications.

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The candidate will have a strong foundation in coding with C/C++ for embedded system development in Linux RTOS environments. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop our new technologies and products.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

• Embedded software architecture development, Requirements development, software coding in C/C++ and/or Python
• Hardware and Software integration, SW tests definition and testing
• Create technical documentation
• Small team technical leading, project management support
• Working in multidisciplinary team (mechanics, electronics, control,…)

Qualifications

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• Master's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 6+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Proficient in coding with mixed C/C++ languages for embedded software operating under Linux RTOS.
• Familiarity with Python development, including tests
• Operate within an Agile development framework using Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira).
• Demonstrated experience with GIT and versioning systems to manage code effectively with team.
