Assistant Manager Of Insurance Services Agency Operations
American Honda Finance Corporation is currently seeking an Assistant Manager of Insurance Services Agency Operations for our Insurance Services Solutions division. The Insurance Services Assistant Manager, Agency Operations, works with the department manager on the day-to-day responsibilities of Honda Insurance Services. They are responsible for managing the insurance department associates, executing our strategic plans, driving business growth, and ensuring Honda's quality customer satisfaction. This Assistant Manager will conduct periodic organizational/operational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and recommend improvements. This Assistant Manager will develop supporting strategies, action plans, and KPIs to track progress, providing updates on those key initiatives monthly, quarterly, and annually for the benefit of various stakeholders (i.e. AHFC Management, Department management, AHM). This position requires a track record from a proven leader who takes ownership and effectively communicates with management. This Assistant Manager will also have proven experience leading and mentoring associates. Research and interaction with potential and actual business partners are required to support related objectives. This Assistant Manager must be able to draw on expansive industry knowledge and experience to formulate sound decisions and recommendations to support objectives and budgets.
This position would have the option to work in our Torrance CA or Irving, TX office
Key Accountabilities
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Implement strategic direction and roadmap to achieve business targets for the Honda insurance business
- Maintain insurance partner relationships
- Manage research and analysis to understand insurance industry trends and competitive landscape
- Manage and develop department associates
- Contribute to the Insurance Department and AHFC
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. To bring the future to Honda as a Assistant Manager, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in business management or related degrees
- 5 years' work experience, with expertise in insurance, financial services and/or automotive manufacturing
- 1 year of work experience with the operations of insurance agency is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results
- Able to clearly communicate with all organizational levels; influences to desired outcome in multiple formats: presentation, writing and facilitation
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams through establishing clear sense of purpose and direction and gaining commitment from team members
- Understands internal and external customer needs; advocates for improved customer experiences
