Software Engineer Opportunity at Homebase

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Homebase's engineering team. You'll be working to help maintain, build, and enhance our core Scheduling product. You'll play a pivotal role in advancing Homebase's core scheduling capabilities, improving performance, and delivering an unparalleled customer experience.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with at least one modern programming language (Ruby preferred!)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• A strong passion for software engineering, curiosity, and a growth mindset
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A proactive approach to learning and adaptability in new technical domains

You Will Make An Impact By:

• Design and develop scalable software solutions that align with Homebase's mission of helping small businesses and building unstoppable teams
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and implement new features
• Work on major initiatives such as chatbot agent integration, admin tool development, scheduling enhancements, and AI-driven automation
• Maintain high-quality coding standards through code reviews and testing
• Actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and contribute to performance optimizations
