Engineering Intern

The Engineering Intern will be responsible for:

• Characterization of materials and writing technical reports.
• Extract & analyze existing quality control data for performance evaluation.
• Help develop elastomer material specifications for MDR (rheometer) test.
• Support daily elastomer engineering tasks such as lab testing.
• Work with the quality control labs to schedule and run tests as needed.
• Develop test procedures for any existing or new test.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Intern also will learn about the following:

• Elastomer materials.
• Industry standards.
• Real life testing on equipment.
• Statistical analysis.

Skills/Requirements:

• Currently enrolled and working toward completion of Bachelor or Graduate degree from an accredited university or college with Chemical/Materials Engineering majors or Chemist preferred.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Good interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across multiple functions to achieve desired results.
• Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project and subsystem.
• Familiarity with Microsoft office products, i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.
